About Me
Hello, my name is Stephanie Duarte an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW). As a first-generation Mexican-American, Spanish speaker, and eldest daughter, I have a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to reach out for support. I recognize that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable especially when it means sharing deeply personal parts of your life with someone you’ve just met. Together, we can create a space where you feel understood, respected, and comfortable exploring what you need and what you hope to achieve.
I graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and obtained my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Northridge. My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed, strengths-based, person-centered care, Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness-based, and Motivational Interviewing practices. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling safe, heard, and genuinely understood. I have a diverse clinical background working with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing a range of emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns. My experience includes supporting at-risk youth and individuals navigating substance use, behavioral difficulties, disruptive patterns, attachment-related concerns, and relationship or marital challenges.
